Why is it not possible to buy more shares from the Portfolio?

This is an interesting idea, but unfortunately it would not be friendly to low-level players. 
If it was possible to buy shares without having to visit these properties, many objects would be constantly blocked by the owners, which would make it difficult for other players to enjoy the game.
